Terms of Use

1. The service

FlowSense displays live and historical water-plant telemetry, alarms, site contacts and maintenance job cards. It is provided to organisations and authorised users for operational and maintenance purposes.

2. Accounts and access

• Accounts are created and managed by your organisation’s FlowSense administrator. You may not share your login.
• You must keep your password confidential and tell your administrator or FlowSense support immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Your access is limited to the plants, companies and functions assigned to your user role.
• We may suspend or deactivate an account to protect the service, other users or the safety of a plant.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading.
• Attempt to access plants, accounts or data you are not authorised to use.
• Interfere with the service, its security, or telemetry and alarm delivery.
• Upload malicious files, or photos and content you do not have the right to share.
• Copy, scrape or resell the service or its data without written permission.

4. Plant data and confidentiality

Plant readings, alarm records, maintenance history, site contacts and job cards are confidential business information belonging to the relevant plant owner or operator. You may use them only for the purpose for which they were provided to you. You must not disclose them to anyone who is not authorised to receive them.

5. Alerts are not a substitute for site safety

FlowSense is a monitoring and record-keeping tool. Push notifications, emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages can be delayed, blocked or fail because of network, device or third-party service problems. Alarms and readings must not replace on-site safety procedures, control-room supervision, statutory testing or the judgement of a competent operator. Always follow your plant’s emergency and safety procedures.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep FlowSense available and accurate, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may maintain, update, change or withdraw features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and telemetry depends on sensors, networks and third-party brokers outside our control.

7. Third-party services

The service uses hosting, database, email, SMS, WhatsApp, mapping and push-notification providers. Their terms and availability may affect parts of FlowSense. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

8. Intellectual property

FlowSense, its branding, software and documentation belong to Axiom Group Africa or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and dashboard for your organisation’s internal operations. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the software except as allowed by law.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Axiom Group Africa is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from delayed or failed alerts, telemetry outages, third-party services, or decisions made using the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Your organisation’s administrator may deactivate your account. You may delete your account in the app under More → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be handled by the courts of South Africa, unless another law requires otherwise.
